Day 7 – 9/10 – Charlottetown

After breakfast we had a lecture by local historian Dr. Richard Companaro. The guy’s a crackup!  Following the lecture he took us on a walk around historical Charlottetown to view some of the exceptional architecture.

Then to lunch.

Except that we were delayed by a local celebrity who greeted us and gave us an excellent epic poem. Total serendipity!

Following lunch (and an extra beer because, well, beer) we returned to our room.  We had the afternoon off. These people know how to treat seniors – give ’em a break mid tour or they will start dying on you.  So Cheryl napped while I worked on photos.  Then I napped while Cheryl read. Then the sunshine got the better of us and we headed out to explore a bit more.

One of the deals in Charlottetown is these little bronze mice that are placed around town.

Apparently it’s a scavenger hunt to find them all.

We arrived back at the motel in time to meet Steve and Billie for supper (Chinese because it’s not seafood) then back to read, BLOG and order new books.

Tomorrow we head north to Green Gables and such, then on to New Brunswick.

And with that I’m caught up and current on the BLOG!!  Yay Me!

Tah,
