Day 11 – 1/12/2022 – Homeward Bound – Traveling Light – Adventures and Thoughts of Nana and Papa Marshall

Sigh.

Up at 4:45, and downstairs by 5:20

Waiting for our turn to clear passport control and load the bus to the airport. Note: these are our carry-ons. Our suitcases were picked up at 10:00 last night and are waiting for us out on the dock.

The airport was, well, and airport. You’ve been there. Even at 6:00 AM (especially at 6:00 AM) we were extremely grateful for PreCheck.

The flights were, well, flights. 4 hours to Atlanta, 5 hours to LA, 2 hours to Boise, with reasonable layovers at each stop we made it home by 10:00 Mountain time (2:00 body time).

Greeted warmly by a project for tomorrow.

All told, it was a great trip. And a safe trip. Actually, we all agree that we were much safer on the ship than we will be back home.
