Day 3 – 8/28 – Arrival

Not much to report today.

We arrived.

Billie had ordered a wheel chair to meet the plane for Steve. SO COOL!  I guess it was OK for Steve, but I particularly appreciated the way we breezed thru Passport Control and Customs and out (the LONG walk) to where we were to meet the shuttle to our hotel.

Checked in, a little “sumpin’ sumpin'” – to supplement the morning snack they served on the plane, and then we took a nap. (More on the nap later)

Since today was designated as a “down day” we took that literally and did nothing except sleep, eat, sit on an airplane so unless you want pictures of food and Cheryl sleeping you’re out of luck.

Except:

Signs are in two languages – English and Gailic.

There’s a horse pasture next to the parking lot for our hotel.  Several of the horses look like draft horses.

Also, Cheryl wants me to mention that they drive on the wrong side of the road over here.

Aparently they get a lot of tourists who look the wrong way before crossing the street.

Tomorrow is a scheduled “recover from jet lag day so we’ll see what it brings.

Now to bed to see what a screwed up sleep schedule looks like.

Cheers,

R
