Day 2 – 1/5 – On to the ship

We woke up reasonably late this morning, took care of a bit of business involving the in-room safe, and headed out to the breakfast buffet.  Suitably sated we repaired to the room to change into more appropriate clothing and went for a walk on the beach.  The tide was coming in and the waves were […]

Day 1 – 1/4 – On the Road!

This is a “good news/bad news” thing. Because we only recently retuned from Christmas in Oklahoma there wasn’t really a need to clean house for the dog sitter. That was the good news. The bad news is that we were booked on the 6:00 AM flight to Seattle. Which means that the alarm was set

Day 15 – 9/9 – British Museum

The museum doesn’t open till 10:00 so we had a nice relaxing morning. Rather than taking the underground (There isn’t an underground station closer to the museum than the closest bus stop.) we took the bus – and walked a few blocks from the stop to the museum. Once inside we got maps, agreed on

Day 12 – 9/6 – Off to London

Today was transit day.  We were up, breakfasted, packed, and on the bus to the airport in good time – so good that we arrived at our gate 2 hours early.  Oh well, better that then… The flight was mercifully short and uneventful. Arriving at Heathrow we used the Steve Smith Airport Trick and found
