As promised, here are photos from the musem at Nanortalik.
We have very little explanation about these objects but they are interesting to think about.

Traditional Woman’s costume. The beadwork is different but other elements are as we saw yesterday in Qoqortoq.

Waterproof anorak made from animal intestines – aka: eisenglass (curtains we can roll right down in case there’s a change in the weather)

Tupilaqs – traditional curse figures were made in secret by shamans. They were made from various materials (to prevent effective defense). Once European collectors arrived the tupaliqs became less about curse and materials focused on forms of ivory

The following are a series of sculptures depicting seal hunting that was integral to life in the region.
