Not much to report today.
We slept in, so did abbreviated exercising.
Along the way Jen spotted me from the I-fly station. The boys were about to go flying.
After watching them have fun in the air it was time to stop the power walk and get to breakfast.
We got to breakfast later than we should have and had to rush to get thru.
And we were still late for the Harry Potter trivia. The Hunts did well even without our outstanding contributions.
The next event was rock climbing.
After lunch it was off to the second trivia match of the day – this one a high-tech phone-based verison. Brian registered his phone and used it to answer the questions posed on the mega-screen (along with several dozen other players. Correct answers received points based on the order they were submitted. After each group of questions the ‘leaderboard’ was posted. Brian is significantly culturally aware and quick with his fingers so he was continually in the top two positions. Sometimes (but not often) we helped with questions like “From this list of words select the ones that fill in the blanks that complete this sentence: ‘Movin’ on up to the _____ to a _____ _____ in the sky.'”
Brian won. (pause for applause)
The rest of the afternoon was devoted to relaxing and a bit of recovery after our marathon in Rome. There may also have been a little lingering jet lag there too.
Dinner was in the buffet rather than our 5:30 table in the Restaurant because we had tickets to the production show; The Book.
It was an interesting presentation of themes from literature, complete with dancers – both on the ground and suspended from above and set to complex staging. It was an experience that would be worth seeing again, just to catch more of what was going on in the margins while our attention was riveted to the main action.
Then it was time for bed.
Tomorrow is Santorini and we’ll be back to hiking around in the heat.
