Today was travel day – the big one!. Deegs were up and off to the Pocatello Airport at 0-dark:30.Fortunately the fires were under control and the power was back on.Everyone was boarded early so the pilot asked (as you do) “Y’all mind if we leave now?”So they did, and had to wait in Salt Lake
Last night we were in bed by 9:00 so it was a very long night. 0400 I was awake, wide awake. I managed to stay in bed, occasionally dozing lightly, until the alarm went off at 0600. That’s when their breakfast service starts. So we were up and down to join the other half-dozen early-birds.
It seems that it’s never easy to actually leave. And while today wasn’t particularly difficult it began a series of events that, over the course of several days, will eventually, in the fullness of time, GLW-CDR see us board a plane for Europe. So the first Road day saw us begin by heading to Malad.
This is the day we stop putting things off. There are lists and they must be completed. So that’s where we stand at 10:20 when I post this.Next steps: Then maybe I can get to packing.
