Today was a sea day, plus we had a time change in our favor, so we took the opportunity to sleep in and still had time to exercise.
We also celebrated the extra time by having room service breakfast on our veranda, where we hung out, drank hot beverages, and read until:
– Cheryl left to go photo a Hunt family climb on the climbing wall
– Randy left to go on the ‘Behind the scenes’ tour of the staff areas of the ship
Cheryl reports that it was too windy for climbing so they will try tomorrow.
I, on the other hand, had a great 2 1/2 hour tour.

Next up was the Engine Control Room:
Then we walked down I-95 and stopped briefly in the recycling center.
Moving into the important part of the tour we started in the food storage area.

We also visited the laundry but I didn’t get any photos of that area.
It was a great tour and fun to see the inner workings of what goes on behind everything we experience topside.
After the tour I joined Cheryl for lunch while we watched a towel folding demonstration before we stopped by the library where several Hunts were just finishing up a puzzle.
The next event was the ‘Love and Marriage Game Show’ – a knock-off of ‘The Newlywed Game’ from the 1970s that is very popular with these mega-cruise ships. We laughed along with the audience at the answers for the first half, but had to leave before the second half in order to get to the Sports deck for Laser tag.
Next up was chocolate tasting. Jen has been buying chocolate from each of the countries the have visited in this trip. So we sampled 8 different chocolates and rated them.
The scoring was:

– Swiss – Average Score 3.00, 2 Scored Highest

Tonight was our last night in the Main Dining Room.
We are sad to be leaving Anwar and JesseJen. They have been great and provided top quality service.

Then it was back to the room for the standard evening stuff.
Looking out the window we discovered that we were in the narrow passage between Italy and Sicily.
Apparently a pilot is required to pass thru that strait – someone should have told Odysseus that.
Tomorrow is Naples.
The kids are headed to Pompeii while Cheryl and I are checking out an archaeological park closer to town.
